What is a Director ID?
A Director Identification Number (Director ID) is a unique 15-digit identifier issued to a person who consents to be a director of a company registered under the Corporations Act 2001 or the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006. This number stays with the director for life—even if they change companies, move interstate, or stop being a director.
Who Needs a Director ID?
You’re required to apply for a Director ID if you’re an eligible officer of:

This includes directors and alternate directors acting in that capacity.
